IMC Festival of the Arts Performance – The High 48s and Fiddle Hall of Fame Ceremony
June 8 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$10
The High 48s and Fiddle Hall of Fame Ceremony
The concert is $10 USD or free to Old Time Fiddle Workshop participants.
Since forming in 2006, The High 48s have been making music that combines the soulful sound of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude, original songs, and a wide range of influences.
Born and raised in the Upper Midwest, The High 48s are a band of songwriters who perform their own material in addition to the “festival favorites.” The band takes its name from railroad slang for the boxcars originally used to transport troops in WWI that could carry 40 soldiers or 8 horses, and later used in the US on fast moving “hot shot” freight trains by train hoppers during the Great Depression.
All times are Central Standard Time and are subject to change. For more up to date information, please contact the IMC office via email or phone (701) 263-4211 (June-July) or (701) 838-8472 (September-May). There is a gate charge ($20 per vehicle) to enter the International Peace Garden.
