Band
Middle School Band

The Middle School Band program is a one-week band program held during the Session 1 for students who have studied their instrument for only one or two years. This program is designed to give students a full band experience, and also to learn music theory, attend master classes, participate in jazz band and study privately with an artist-teacher. This session is open to students completing grades 5-8 with only one or two years of playing experience.
A special "Kick Start" program is also offered during this week for students who were either missed in the process of starting an instrument in their school band program or have decided to change instruments. A comprehensive review throughout the week will allow each beginner to make as much progress as possible.
