Total Percussion
YAMAHA Corporation of America and Eckroth Music will sponsor two "Sounds of Summer '10" Percussion Camps. The camps will feature one of YAMAHA's marching percussion experts as well as the IMC percussion staff. In addition to theory classes and optional private lessons, participants will rehearse and perform "total percussion" exercises, percussion ensembles, and cadences contained in the YAMAHA Sounds of Summer Curriculum. Although this program is of great benefit to the marching percussionist, the concert band percussionist will benefit from skills learned on snare and bass drum, as well as mallets. Two identical programs are offered during the Second and Third Sessions. The Total Percussion program is open to students completing grades 7-12.
