Join us at the International Peace Garden for the Third Annual Oktubafest on October 3-5, 2014!
The weekend will include events for tuba and euphonium players of all ages. We are planning recitals by guest artists, repertoire sessions for euphonium and tuba solos and tuba quartets, master classes, a massed tuba-euphonium Choir (for all participants), an Oktubafest Band, Tuba Sunday Morning, and performance of newly written works for tuba quartet. Preliminary plans also include a TubaChristmas reading session. We invite participants to Oktubafest who are high school and college/university musicians and teachers, as well as amateur and professional artists.
We are very excited to welcome guest artist Dr. Joseph Skrillen on tuba! Quartets and soloists will be invited to participate as performers as well.
Many activities for participants, families and the general public will be offered at the International Peace Garden during Oktubafest. These include German food, tours, and hiking throughout the Gardens and more.
