2022 COVID-19 Information

Updated May 17, 2022

Due to the short term, residential, and international nature of the International Music Camp, the IMC Board of Directors has set the following required policies for the 2022 Season*:

1. The International Music Camp strongly encourages campers of all ages to complete their full COVID-19 vaccination course (including all eligible/applicable boosters) to help contribute to the safety of themselves and the campers, faculty, and staff that make up the IMC community.  The International Music Camp is an international organization and we strive to meet health and safety standards from all of the countries that we serve.  In compliance with North Dakota State Law, the International Music Camp can not collect or require the submission of COVID-19 vaccination information for participants unless subject to an alternative federal law or regulation that would supersede.

2. All faculty, staff, and volunteers working for the International Music Camp must be fully vaccinated (including all eligible/applicable boosters) for COVID-19 before arriving at camp.  According to North Dakota State Law, faculty, staff, and volunteers who do not want to be vaccinated for COVID-19 can either submit proof of COVID-19 antibodies before arriving at the International Music Camp (the test must be within 6 months of employment), submit a certificate from a ND licensed physician, physician assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse stating the physical condition of the employee or volunteer would endanger the life or health of the employee, submit a certificate signed by the employee stating the employees’ religious, philosophical, or moral beliefs are opposed to such immunization, or submit to COVID-19 tests as an exemption to the vaccination requirement.

3. All campers, faculty, staff, and volunteers will be tested upon arrival before moving in to camp.  If anyone is found positive at this point they will be sent home immediately.  If there are sessions that campers can be rescheduled to once their quarantine time has passed, they can be moved or monies held to 2023.  All campers, faculty, staff, and volunteers will be subject to surveillance testing throughout the week.  If anyone is found positive throughout the week, they will be sent home immediately.  Refunds will not be given for campers who have to leave mid-session.  All campers, faculty, staff, and volunteers will also be tested if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 at any point throughout the week. The International Music Camp will comply with COVID-19 guidelines from the North Dakota Department of Health and the CDC that are current and in place at the time camp is in session in making camp removal determinations.  IMC is not able to help with any testing requirements related to domestic and international travel requirements.

4. North Dakota State Law does not allow us to ask about vaccination status for participants.  Due to the residential nature of IMC, campers who are determined to be a close contact to a known positive will be sent home immediately.  Refunds will not be given for campers who have to leave mid-session.

Details regarding protocols for COVID-19 positive or Close Contact cases for employees will be finalized and distributed to all faculty, staff, and volunteers.

5. 2022 IMC Face Mask Expectations
