Pianist and educator Dr. Albina Khaliapova is a soloist and chamber musician. Recipient of the Mary Sue Chamber Music Scholarship and Robinson Piano Scholarship, Dr. Khaliapova won a number of international and local competitions in Europe and the United States, including the International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival (Colorado), International Music Competition ‘Citta Di Barletta’ (Italy), International Competition ‘Music Without Limits’ (Lithuania), and International Competition ‘Art of the 21st Century’ (Ukraine).

Born into a musical family, Albina developed an acute musical sensitivity and a natural aptitude for the piano. Influenced by her mother, who is a piano teacher, she started her first music lessons at home at the age of four. By the age of seven, she was already admitted to the Secondary Special Musical School in Ufa, Russia, where she made her solo debut with an orchestra. After graduation with honors from SSMS, Albina was admitted to study in the class of internationally renowned pianist Sergei Dukachev at Ufa State Academy of Arts. Before coming to the United States, Albina Khaliapova was actively performing on various chamber music projects, as well as teaching at the secondary special music school for gifted kids in Ufa, Russia. In 2014 Dr. Khaliapova moved to Tampa, Florida to work on her Master’s Degree in piano performance and chamber music at the University of South Florida. While at USF, Albina was awarded a fellowship position in the President’s Trio of USF, where she performed with violinist Nina Kim and Julia Tretyakova. After graduation, she moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to pursue her doctoral degree at Louisiana State University, where she received a graduate student tuition award, as well as a graduate assistant position as a collaborative pianist.

Albina Khaliapova is the president of Homegrown New Music Ensemble and the founder of the concert series Women in Music which celebrates the music written by outstanding female composers of past and present. Established in 2021 with the first concert presented in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the series was received with strong resonance from the modern audience. Dr. Khaliapova presented the concert series in collaboration with other musicians and guest artists across the United States, including New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Florida.

Dr. Khaliapova recently moved to Fargo, ND where she is working on building her piano studio and performing with students, faculty, and guest artists at the higher education institutions in the area.

EduardTeregulov, DMA

Russian-born cellist Eduard Teregulov is a soloist, chamber performer, and cello instructor. Winner of the Youth String Competition in Magnitogorsk, Russia at the age of 14, as well as of the International competition “Citta Di Barletta” in Italy and NOLA Chamber Fest in the United States, he enjoys his career as a contemporary and classical cellist. Member of Homegrown New Music Ensemble and Constantinides New Music Ensemble, Dr. Teregulov also performs as a soloist and a member of a duo with his wife, pianist Dr. Albina Khaliapova. Besides performing traditional repertoire, Eduard is a big advocate for new music. He actively collaborates with living composers from the United States and around the world on commissioning and performing new works for cello and chamber groups.

Eduard has worked and performed with various orchestras in both Russia and the United States, including the National Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan, Symphony Orchestra of Opera and Ballet Theater of Bashkortostan, Chamber Orchestra “Bashkortostan”, Youth International Symphony Orchestra of the Volga Region, Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, South Shore Symphony Orchestra in Tampa Bay, Baton Rouge Civic Orchestra, Rapids Symphony Orchestra.

Eduard Teregulov received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Cello Performance from Louisiana State University. His dissertation work title is “Expansion of the Cello Repertoire in the 21st Century: A Collaboration with Composers Paul Eddison Lewis, Thomas L. Wilson, Austin Franklin, and Alex Shanafelt, and the Resulting New Compositions for Cello and Electronics – Examined and Recorded by the Performer”. Dr. Teregulov also holds his Master of Music degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and Education from Ufa State Academy of Arts, Russia.

From 2023 Dr. Teregulov holds the position of Assistant Professor of Cello and Double Bass at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
