The International Music Camp offers three levels of Orchestra for all ages of string players: Cadet String Orchestra for younger players, Concert Orchestra for middle school string students, and Symphony Orchestra for high school students. Advanced string players of all ages may also audition for the Chamber (honor) Orchestra. The session includes two daily large-group rehearsals, sectionals, theory classes, master classes, chamber ensemble opportunities, and optional private lessons. String players in grades 5 through 12 may participate.
Violinists who attend IMC for orchestra week may also participate in the Fiddle Program for no additional charge. Please select the “Orchestra and Fiddle” program when registering.
Wind and Brass players interested in playing with the orchestras must submit an audition recording by May 1, 2021. 2021 Audition materials are posted below. All wind and brass players must re-audition for participation in the orchestra.
